CV stands for Curriculum Vitae. Fine. But at BramleyCV, we’ve started thinking about it differently: CV stands for Career Victories.

Not because it sounds better. Because it’s closer to what a CV is actually supposed to hold — not just job titles and dates, but the things you actually did. The problem you solved under pressure. The project that shouldn’t have worked and did. The difficult period at work you got through and came out the other side of.

Here’s the trouble: those moments happen in real time, at work, and they get forgotten almost as fast as they happen. Nobody writes them down the day they happen. You just… move on to the next thing. Then eighteen months later, you’re updating your CV for a new role, or sitting down the night before a performance review, trying to remember what you actually accomplished — and it’s gone. Not because it wasn’t real. Because nobody captured it when it happened.

Farming isn’t live yet — we’re building it. But here’s the idea: a simple place to log your wins and your challenges overcome, as they happen, while they’re still fresh. Not a polished CV bullet. Just what actually happened, in your own words, whenever it happens.

Two things that log becomes useful for:

Your next job search. Instead of scrambling to remember two years of achievements the moment you decide to apply somewhere new, it’s already there. Your Master CV’s current-role entry stays up to date, quietly, in the background — so when you do need to apply, you’re not starting from a blank page trying to remember what you did in March of last year.

Your next appraisal. Performance reviews ask you to summarise a year of work from memory, usually the night before. A running log of real wins and real challenges overcome — written down when they actually happened — is a much better starting point than trying to reconstruct twelve months in one evening.

We’re deliberately not just capturing successes. Getting through a genuinely hard stretch — a difficult project, a team short-staffed, a deadline that shouldn’t have been possible — is a real, legitimate thing to be able to point to. Not everything worth remembering ends in an obvious win. Some of it is just: this was hard, and I handled it.
